Q~Poning Basics for Newbies!!
So I have been asked several times how I do what I do! The first step is to just get out and do it!!!!! It is very possible even being a couponing newbie, you will learn new tricks of the trade and teach the older generation that coupon a thing or two.
You need to create a new email just
for freebies and coupons, because you will get spam. That is just part of the it. NEVER give out your real
number. I only use my real number when it comes to important things (orders, Legit surveys and known sites to me) Even I made this mistake in the beginning! No worries! There is google Voice and Google Chrome to aid you in your search for deals, coupons and freebies!
Where do you get coupons? It is so
much cheaper to get them delivered to your house. It is $1 a paper per week where I live. I have heard of it being allot cheaper in other towns. They say one paper per person
in the household. I check for the inserts preview that are coming out in the next Sunday's paper to determine exactly how many I need. I most normally get about 4 or 5 papers as we are a family of 7! Also you can ask friends and neighbors to save their inserts
for you. You can ask gas stations what they do with their expired Sunday
papers. You can
print them off my page of course. :-) But never ever scan and copy one and print
it .That is illegal and you will go to jail!!
You need to make time. How much time
depends on how much you want to save. A couple hours a month will take a couple
hundred off your grocery bill every month.
Organization...that is very
important. I have all my coupons in 2 big binders. I use baseball card holders to organise and also use tabbed dividers with pockets in the back of each binder. That allows me to pull what coupons I know I am going to use on my shopping trip. I ALWAYS take my binder because the stores can't put all the
sales in the add and you never know what you might find on clearance or on
sale. Some of my best shopping trips were clearance items!
It is VERY important to print out the store's policies that you shop at. Eventually you will
run into a problem, and most likely they will win. If you have your policy and
know it all you have to do is pull it out and show them..let it do the talking
for you..it will save you and the cashier a lot of stress. 99 percent of the
employee's do not know their store policy. ALWAYS have your pile of coupons ready before you checkout as this helps avoid stress for you and the cashier. One thing I have learned it to be
respectful, the cashier's will be allot more patient with you and you couponing endeavor. And if you are new to couponing you need to go to your local stores and scan out the clearance sections, remember where they are! This will help you save time in the many couponing shopping trips you have ahead of you!
~Impossible is now POSSIBLE!!!!~
Lastly, You are going to change the way you
shop, and what you eat, and what products you use at home. You buy what is on
sale and you eat what is on sale and you use what is on sale. At times I am still in shock at the money I save and the amount of Groceries and odds and ends I am able to provide for my VERY large family! Trust me, if I can coupon, YOU can coupon!!!
